How does Easy-Clean work?

Easy-Clean is a self-service platform for finding trusted and vetted cleaners. You can book a vary of different services displayed on each cleaners self-made profile which outlines who they are and where their experiences lie. Services may consist of Holiday Home and Private Home Cleaning Services, Holiday Home Set-Up Services, Property Checks and Call Outs.

The price of each service is firm. There are no hidden costs with Easy-Clean, the total amount you see when you are booking your required services, is payment for both your cleaner and contribution to the Easy-Clean team.

You will be able to leave a review for your cleaner at the end of the service booking.

Can I trust an Easy-Clean Cleaner?

Everything on Easy-Clean depends on trust, which is why we take verification seriously.

All Cleaners are required to supply Easy-Clean with a copy of their New Zealand Driver's License, a current Ministry Of Justice Criminal Record Check, and an up-to-date photo of themselves on their profile.

You are free to ask to see their New Zealand Driver's License if this gives you additional peace of mind.

Once a Cleaner has had a booking the Property Client is able to leave an honest review on their profile. Which is an indication of the Cleaners quality as well.

Can I pay my Cleaner directly or in cash?

No, you need to make a reservation and pay via the Easy-Clean website. This way, you and your Cleaner demonstrate a high level of agreement to the booking arrangement and are both protected in case of a cancellation and will enjoy peace-of-mind knowing the Easy-Clean Property Client care team are there to help at any time.

Most importantly, it ensures that both parties (Cleaner and Property Client) Easy-Clean profiles are not at risk of being terminated, as Easy-Clean needs their share of all transactions in order to keep the platform operating.

How do I cancel a booking?

Sometimes things change, especially in the Holiday Home Industry, and you may need to cancel a confirmed booking. The first thing to do is let your booked cleaner know. Depending on the date of the cancellation and your cleaner's policy, you may be entitled to a full or partial refund. You can find out what is your cleaner's chosen policy on their profile.

Cleaner's cancellation policy

When you cancel a booking, the refund you get depends on your cleaners chosen cancellation policy. Easy-Clean Cleaners can choose their cancellation policy among the following options:

  1. Flexible cancellation policy: Full refund if the Client cancels by 12:00pm (noon) 1 day before the service is booked for.

  2. Moderate cancellation policy: 50% refund if the Client cancels by 12:00pm (noon 1 day before the service is booked for.

No refund is possible if cancellation is on the day of the services booking. You may talk one on one with your cleaner to arrange postponing the service booking, however they are not required to agree to a postponed date if they choose not to. If agreed upon by your Cleaner, you must have another date in mind and postpone the booking immediately.
